The real estate industry has always been a popular topic for consumers, and with the advent of online search portals and mobile applications for real estate listings, that industry has only increased in usage and popularity. The next big thing is here and it comes in the form of a smart TV app called MoveTube. We had a chance to catch up with the founder of MoveTube and the CFO of their parent company, Electric-I-Enterprises.
“MoveTube is an interactive real estate search channel…The beauty of the channel is you can actually get in and search with a TV remote. Search properties. We made it very simple. You put in a city name, a zip code. If you know the MLS number of a property, just through your TV remote, you can put it in. It’s a smart search, so you don’t have to type everything in.”

Because the MoveTube application is used on your television, it creates a completely different experience than what you’re used to with a traditional television set. And while that means you can save favorites and share with friends, it also means something else.
“Usually TV is one direction, it’s dumping stuff on you. But with the MoveTube property search channel, you get to interact with the television. You get to tell it where you want to look. And you get to say: yes I’d like information. And it works both ways with you. And that’s what’s really unique about the product.”

The MoveTube smart app is really the first of its kind and the only real estate smart TV app out there. It is available on Roku players, but is best optimized for the Roku 3.
