EmergenSee - A Personal Safety App - AppWatch Review

Published on Sept 24, 2014

AppWatch Review

If you live in the city, are a parent, student, traveler or simply are concerned about your families safety, consider downloading a personal security application.

EmergenSee has a ton of features that turn your phone into a personal safety device. But what makes it different from other options, is they send live streaming video and your exact location to a Professional Monitoring Center where security agents respond to alerts 24/7. So if you’re in a dangerous or threatening situation, you tap on the app and it automatically streams video to a live security agent and predetermined contacts. Agents will monitor the live video and communicate with you through text messages while dispatching the closest first responders.

Now because they have live video and GPS location tracking, help can arrive faster than other services and the responders will know what’s going on.  Another useful feature is you can include health information in your profile so responders are aware of underlying medical conditions.  There’s also the Virtual Escort timer, which lets you set a timer that’ll automatically start EmergenSee if you don’t deactivate it.  So if you’re going for a run and don’t respond to the alarm, it’ll turn on automatically.  Now this version is paid, but there’s also a free version that’ll connect you with just your contacts. Still a fantastic tool.
