Something worth checking out takes on one of the world’s oldest and most popular games, Chess. This new spin is called SphereChess. It is a major leap in that it throws the chess battle field onto a sphere. It has the same 64 squares and rules but without the edges of a square board. SphereChess pieces have infinite attack options in any direction, thus completely changing everything we know about Chess.

First off, the graphics are fun and high quality, which is always nice. The user interface lets you customize everything from the background, to the squares, pieces, and user controls. There are three play options. With the first you can play safely against a dumb computer. No computer can challenge a human here, at least not yet. The second option is the "HotSeat". Here you and a friend play each other on the same computer. The real fun though, is found when you register and play online. Here you can post private challenges to your friends. The developers have included live chat during games as well, so it has a video game quality to it. Important to note, it is Windows P.C. compatible only, but mobile versions are coming.
