At the heart of the Oomi system is the Oomi cube. It protects your home with its night vision and sensors. It will detect everything from motion, temperature, breaking windows, vibrations and even humidity.
To install Oomi, simply remove it from the box and power it up. Then, just tap the cube with the accompanying Oomi Touch. It will recognize and sync up with that device. With this new tap and touch feature it effectively removes any other steps to the set up. You can use the Oomi Touch with any Oomi accessory to get it up, running, and recognized as part of your system. Quick and easy. Not to mention, it is also the device which controls your whole smart home. Unlike other smart home controllers, Oomi Touch can control your entertainment system as well. It takes the concept of a universal remote to a whole new level. Suffice to say this adds a level of convenience because you can turn your smart lights down and turn your TV on with just one click.
Also included is the Oomi Plug, which allows you to turn any outlet into a wireless outlet. This allows your Oomi Touch to take control. This means anything plugged into that outlet can be controlled remotely. Lights, small appliances, robots, anything. We have come far from the days of the Clapper. Since most things are charged by USB these days, it also has a port for that.
