For all the gadget freaks like us out there, we finally got an excuse now to cook more at home. It is the all new innovative concept of ‘Digital Cutting Board’ for your kitchen.
Very soon the days will be gone when you’re afraid that your i-pad or tablet will get a scratch while your using to read a recipe. Now it’s time to take your knife and run it without worry on your new kitchen tablet! Yes, this is what designer Jaewan Jeong wants us to do.
His company YankoDesign has introduced the new concept of a cutting board which also doubles as a tablet to help you out with preparation of food, washing, knowing the recipe, and so on.
The name of this cutting board is ‘Almighty Board’ and it is rightly so. This size of the tablet is much bigger than your typical i-pad and built with materials that are extremely advanced. Especially the screen.. try imagining Gorilla glass on steroids.
Now let’s dive in to know how this board is going to be useful to us in our kitchen. First of all, you need a recipe to cook a delicious meal, with this board you can browse through all the recipes directly on it and get information of all the ingredients that you’ll need.
Then after getting the ingredients and washing them, when you put them on the board it tells you if the ingredients are properly washed, how much portion of the individual ingredients will you need by weighting them, and much more important cooking information. Now it is time to cut the ingredients, and after cutting is done, “Almighty Board” will sterilize itself through its build-in germ killers.
What about washing the board you ask? Well you don’t need to wash it at all! It is true even if it sounds unbelievable. This board works both sides like your normal cutting board. Thanks to its built-in germ killers, it will sterilize one side when you use the other. So it’s just a matter of flipping the board and you get a germ-free ultra-tech device to cut your vegetables, fruits and meat. But yes, you can also wash it with water if you want as I’m sure I will.
Hopefully this cutting board will help bring a new contemporary feel to our kitchen and encourage us to cook new delicious recipes at home, in a healthy and convenient way.
