In recent years, it’s become pretty apparent that Amazon is very supportive of fostering innovations. They’ve been working to make delivery by drone a reality and last year they created the Amazon Launchpad program. Now they have launched a page completely dedicated to Kickstart campaigns, and have collected over 300 products.

This addition to Amazon could completely change the world of startups. In a press release, Yancey Strickler, CEO and Co-Founder of Kickstarter, stated “Kickstarter helps independent creators find the resources, courage, and community they need to bring their creative projects to life. We’re thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Launchpad on creating a new path for those projects to be discovered, experienced, and loved.”

While you’re browsing through Amazon’s Kickstarter Collection there are different categories and themes. From Electronics to Toys & Games to STEM Products to Inventing the Future – there’s a huge variety of startups to check out, which helps give more inventors a chance to get their products on the market.

In the press release, Jim Adkins, Vice President of Amazon stated, “At Amazon, we work hard to offer the widest possible selection of products so that customers can find anything and everything they might want to buy online. Working with Kickstarter is a great way for us to hear directly from customers what products they care about, since they truly hold the power to bring these products to life.”

This is an exciting change for Amazon! They are putting the power back into customers’ hands. We’ll definitely be checking out some of the cool products in the STEM and Inventing the Future categories.
