Consumer Update
Hearing aids have come a long way over the past couple years. But one of the largest drawbacks is that you’re usually required to have an iPhone to utilize all the exciting features – well, that was until now. Phonak is changing the game with their newly released Audéo B-Direct, allowing you to universally connect to any Bluetooth enabled phone.
This hearing aid takes into account the priorities that people have. They’ve done tons of research on this market and what they’ve found is that their number one priority are speech and noise, talking on the phone, and access to TV and media at home.
Audeo B-Direct has really taken those priorities that Phonak’s users expressed to them and made those the forefront of their innovation in this device.
When the hearing aid is in any situation, it’s doing a constant acoustic monitoring of the environment and making adaptations automatically. In a conference hall filled with people for example, Audeo B-Direct would pick up a ton of noise that’s extremely reverberant and music that’s playing over the speakers and would make accommodations for all those factors. It would also include a beam to the front of the hearing aid because where the person is facing is where their attention is and that’s where they want to focus in on. In doing so, it will suppress sounds in all other directions.
Audeo B-Direct also pairs to ANY Bluetooth phone such as iPhone, Android, or non-smartphones with Bluetooth so it gives users great flexibility.
In addition, 80% of Phonak’s market doesn’t have an iPhone which left them without any good wireless cellphone connectivity…until now.
