How to Watch Super Bowl 2020

By: Nick Gambino

It’s that time of year again when even people who don’t know the difference between a “touchdown” and a “third-down” tune in to watch the two best NFL teams face off for the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy. Yes, the Super Bowl is upon us and we’re all going to be watching it. Now, if you’re hosting, you don’t want to get caught out not knowing how to get the game on.

There was a time when everyone owned a TV and had free access to the basic network channels, but this is a different time. We live in a digital world where “cord cutters” still stream more than is probably healthy. There are a ton of options out there for you to watch Super Bowl LIV (that’s 54 for those that don’t speak Roman Numerals).

Here are the ways to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday night whether you have a live TV package or nothing more than your phone and a WiFi connection.

TV

If you have TV, then this will be easy for you. The NFL game airs on FOX this Sunday, February 2, at 6:30pm EST.

Streaming Services

If you don’t have a traditional TV or cable, then you still have several streaming options available to you. Live TV streaming is becoming a go-to for many and it makes it easy to catch the game. You can stream Super Bowl LIV through Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV or FuboTV (which has a free trial).

This option works similar to regular TV. Just navigate to the FOX channel for the game.

Browser and Other Free Apps

Now, some of you are probably looking for free options to watch the Super Bowl and luckily, they exist. Fox Sports is doing us all a solid by streaming the game through their website for free which means you can just head to FoxSports.com on any device and watch right through your browser. They are doing the same with their Fox Sports and Fox Now apps which are available through many devices.

So, whether you’re tuning in for the commercials (Why? They’re already on YouTube) or to see J.Lo and Shakira tear it down or because you truly want to see if the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs are going to be the Super Bowl champions, now you know how to tune in.
