NAB Show Returns

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) annual conference is set to return for the first time in two years. The NAB Show, as it’s called, has been held in Las Vegas every year since 1991, but, like a lot of other annual conferences, was forced to forego 2020 and 2021.

While there were a lot of conferences that switched to a virtual format, NAB, simply canceled their shows, opting to wait until they could return in person. That time is now.

The NAB Show 2022 promises a reimagined conference with a ton of exhibitors booked in the Las Vegas Convention Center. There are over 900 exhibitors from 154 countries set to take to the halls of the convention center in just a couple days.

As in years past, expect to see a lot of new cutting-edge video production tech and other broadcasting innovations. Here are a few of the exhibitors and what they’ll be unveiling come show time.

 

EditShare

EditShare will unveil their line of turnkey Flex cloud solutions at booth N3008. Inside the bundle includes Flex Cloud Edit which allows you to work inside the cloud via virtual workstations. The open hosting environment allows you to use your favorite editing software like Adobe, Avid or Apple.

The bundle also includes Flex Cloud+ for faster file sharing and seamless uploads from anywhere and Flex Cloud Sync for improved cloud media backups.

 

For-A

We have For-A representing in the world of live sports production with the unveiling of their SMV-ONE in booth C5408. This is an HD slow-mo visualizer that is ahead of anything else out there. They’ll also be showing off their FT-ONE-SS4K, promoted as the “world’s first 4K ultra-high-speed camera.”

 

Adobe

 After acquiring Frame.io last year, Adobe would be remiss to not show off their video collaboration platform and how it works in action as part of Creative Cloud. Adobe is also expected to show the newest Premiere Pro updates, including Frame.io’s integration into the popular video editing software. They’ll have two booths this year, one for Adobe (N3404) and one for Frame.io (C9520).

With over 900 exhibiting companies this year, we could be here forever, but that’s an idea of what type of technologies and cutting-edge innovations you can expect from the returning broadcasters conference.

The NAB Show 2022 runs from April 23-27 in Las Vegas.
