Google Pixel 8 Pro: Leaked Photos Reveal Exciting Features and Design

Google Pixel 8 Pro Photos Leak

This week in Leaked Photos of Popular Smartphones, Google’s flagship Pixel 8 Pro had some images show up online. These unauthorized photos give us our first look at the upcoming version of the popular phone. Even if they come from an amateur who’s clearly never done this before.

The two images come to us courtesy of Reddit where they were quickly deleted along with the poster’s account but not before being captured by eagle-eyed Internetters. If the newly leaked images are real then the Google phone is finally embracing a camera set-up where the triple lens is housed in one place – a horizontal glass oval (as opposed to the square triple-lens set-up in the iPhone).

Next to the triple-camera oval you’ll see a sensor right underneath the flash. This is most likely the body temperature sensor that we’ve heard rumors about. In other words, your Google phone may double as a thermometer. Supposedly you can record your temp in a few seconds by swiping the infrared sensor across your forehead.

The last couple Pixels Pros have featured a curved display, but the Pixel 8 Pro is doing things a little different with a clearly flat display. This kind of screen is typically easier to manufacture and is also more durable. It looks like the rumor stating the phone would feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display also holds water.

Going off of rumors and not just what we can see in the leaked images, the Pixel 8 Pro will include a Google Tensor G3 chip, 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The inclusion of the new chip is somewhat supported by these images.

Seeing as the Reddit leaker “annoyingtoread” said he got it “from the device team in Google for testing” and there’s even a label that says “Zuma – B1” which is thought to be a codename for the chip, I think we can reasonably expect to see the Tensor G3 in the Pixel 8 Pro.

Now this is clearly a test phone, it even says so on a sticker visible in one of the images “For Test/Evaluation Only,” so this is most likely not the final version we’ll see available for purchase later this year.

For now we’ll keep an eye out for any other plausible rumors and leaks ahead of any official announcement by Google.
