Mission Impossible Rogue Nation debuted Friday, July 31st in theaters and received positive reviews and massive theater draws. It received a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and has drawn $55.5 Million Dollars at the Box Office to date.
The plot of Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is that the I.M.F. (Impossible Mission Force) is disbanded and Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) and his team are facing a network of highly skilled special agents, called the Syndicate. These evil agents are intent on creating a new world order through a series of terrorist attacks. And who else to stop them than Hunt.
“It’s kind of amazing. It’s the first film I ever produced. And to be here after all these years, we now have our 5th MI. I love making these movies,” said Tom Cruise. “You have alot of intrigue, i love the spy genre, i love the theme music….It’s really challenging and it’s fun seeing an audience. I want to entertain an audience…I’m just happy that fans find these films entertaining.”
The film is full of incredible stunts and insane action, taking viewers on a wonderful ride from Belarus to Cuba, Virginia, Paris, Vienna, Casablanca, and London.
“Tom is very keen on this story. And to get the call that we were doing another one was very exciting,” said Simon Pegg, who plays Benji. “I kind of knew it would happen because Ghost Protocol was such a barn-stormer”
Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is written and Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the brain behind The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Jack Reacher, and Edge of Tomorrow (among many others). This is the 5th Mission Impossible and it’s likely not the last. Be sure to catch it in theaters because in this case, the big screen is worth the price of admission.
