kramstein

There’s an innovation in beer-drinking on the horizon and its name is Kramstein.

There are several ways for you to drink beer. You can drink straight from the bottle or can, you can drink from a red Solo cup or you could drink it from a wine glass. Though that last one might result in a loss of man cred.

The best way to drink beer though is straight from a mug (stein) or similar beer glass. That way the beer can breathe and you can look like a burly Viking as you down your victory pint. You’ve seen the movies.

Now though this is the best way to consume the divine liquid that is beer, there’s just one problem. Most steins are made from glass which means it will conduct heat from your hand as you hold it. This heat will transfer through to the beer warming it up. And let’s all agree, warm beer sucks.

This transfer of temperature is a two-way street as the cold and condensation from the beer will transfer to your hand making it cold and clammy. You ever tried to shake somebody’s hand after walking around with a glass mug for a little bit? Pretty awkward, huh?

Kramstein is gearing up to solve these problems with its metal design aimed at protecting your hand and beer from any unwanted transfer of temperature. The metal alloy frame is made up of a handle attached to corrosion-resistant stainless steel fasteners that hold the glass.

So not only does it look cool but it solves the basic problem of glass steins. And unlike other independent handles the fasteners prevent the glass from sliding around.

The Kickstarter campaign to get this much-needed product to market is underway. When that’s wrapped up we should see pre-order fulfillment starting around June.

Colors to choose from include Black, Red, Blue and Grey. You’ll even have your chose of glass in either Clear or Smoke. Because why not, right?

I for one can’t wait to see Kramstein hit the market so do us all a favor and head over to Kickstarter and check out the campaign.  You can also check out their website at http://www.kramstein.com/
