Earth Day is as significant a day in 2017 as it has been in years past. With legal de-regulations threatening to allow the further pollution and degradation of our planet, April 22nd can’t come soon enough.

There will be plenty of rallies, concerts, parades and other events to raise awareness and get people involved.

Here is a list of the top 10 Earth Day events in the U.S.

  1. San Francisco Earth Day 2017 Festival & Climate Rally

This free Earth Day festival sees a gathering of about 10,000 people every year. With live entertainment, panel discussions, food courts, wine and beer gardens, kids zone and the Psychedelic Eco Fashion Show there’s something here for everyone.

  1. San Diego EarthFair

Sticking to the west coast, the San Diego EarthFair on April 23rd sees about 60,000 people each year. There will be 4 stages set up for live music including one for children. Make sure you don’t miss the Earth Day parade which starts at 10:30am by the Spanish Village in Balboa Park.

  1. Disney World’s Animal Kingdom

Opened on Earth Day 1998, it’s only fitting that Animal Kingdom celebrates the annual date with activities and shows throughout the park. You can also check out the Seas with Nemo and Friends musical show at Epcot.

  1. Durham, NC Earth Day Festival

A full day of live music and other performances make this a fun way to support Earth Day but the parade is where it’s at. Everyone is welcome to walk in the parade starting at 3:15pm.

  1. Earth Day New York

New York being New York draws the biggest crowds for Earth Day. Though there are events set up all around the city you’re going to want to check out Union Square on April 18th for the best activities and live performances.

  1. Earth Day Washington, D.C.

The National Mall is going to be the happening spot come Earth Day in D.C. A teach-in, live musical performances and a march in the streets will round out this rally. But get there early for a good spot. People will start gathering around 8:00am on April 22nd.

  1. Earth Day Texas

Texans know how to do it right and with Earth Day that’s no exception. There’s no lack of activities at the 3-day event held at Fair Park in Dallas, with musical performances, a film festival and tons more. They’re on track to see more than 150,000 people at the festival this year.

  1. Earth Day in New Orleans

This green event will be held at City Park in N’Orleans as it’s called. Enjoy arts and crafts activities, cooking demonstrations and live acoustic music performed by The Necessary Gentlemen.

  1. Earth Day Fair & Parade in Oregon

If you’re going to be in Central Oregon on April 22nd then you’ll want to check out the festive parade marching through the streets with adults and kids alike dressed up as plants and animals. The parade starts at 11:30am but if you’re in the parade be there by 11:00am.

  1. 25th Annual Earth Day Celebration in Manhattan Beach, CA

Celebrating their 25th Earth Day gathering, this Manhattan Beach event is looking to be a big one. There will be live music throughout the day including a performance by The Lucky Ones.

The celebration and concert goes from 11:00am to 4:00pm on April 22nd. More information here.
