Hemel HFT20 – Refashioned Timepieces for the Modern Gentleman | NewsWatch Review

Consumer Update

When smartwatches were first introduced, we got so caught up in the novelty of the gadget that we were willing to forego beautifully crafted timepieces.

Hemel is on a mission to keep that dream alive. They set out to develop a basic luxury men’s watch that combined the iconic heritage look of mid-century aviator’s timepieces with the refined appointments of a higher end timepiece.

Their goal was to create an affordable watch that perfectly blends refinement with authenticity; a watch that stands the test of time and never goes out of style, especially with premium grade specs like surgical grade steel and sapphire crystal.

Hemel’s newest watch and their best yet is the HFT20.

As an homage to the original pilot chronographs and military pilots of the 1950s, this handcrafted timepiece will become an instant heirloom.

But just because it’s a throwback with emphasis on detail and precision doesn’t mean the mechanics themselves are dated.

The HFT20 uses modern movements without the need for continual maintenance.

The watch itself comes with the option of 3 bezels – GMT, 60 minute, and standard. Each is accented by a matte black dial. The straps are equally impressive. They’re made of vintage cognac leather with a signed buckle and steel rivets.

Upon purchasing the HFT20 you have the option of giving 5% of your purchase to charitable foundations including Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
