We are still several months away from the unveiling and release of the iPhone 15, but new leaked images of the 2023 iPhone suggest a big change (or two or three) is coming. Now, as always with these rumors, you have to take them with a grain of salt. We try to only report those rumors that hold some water but still. Ok, you’ve been prepped, so here we go.
One of the more intriguing leaks comes from the Twitter account run by ShrimpApplePro. A recent video posted shows three front glass panels purportedly belonging to the upcoming iPhone 15 models. Those glass panels suggest that the notch which made its first appearance in the iPhone X will be no more. It will be officially replaced across all models by the Dynamic Island.
Goôd morning! Here’s is the real life video of the front glass panel of the iPhone 15 series, i was able to confirm its authenticity with my source. It’s real! pic.twitter.com/5BkI0OFgz9

And to the notch I say good riddance. It’s been a nuisance with almost no visible upside since it was introduced 6 years ago. Literally. You would lose visibility where the notch took up real estate on any video you tried to watch. So if ShrimpApplePro is right, we should get the Dynamic Island in the iPhone 15, 15 Pro and 15 Plus. We’ll also get smaller bezels.
Another rumor making its rounds is the reintroduction of the solid state volume button. Apple replaced the single rocker button with two separate buttons for increasing and decreasing volume in the popular iPhone 7. Per Twitter account @ZoneofTech and as reported by 9to5Mac we’ll once again get a single button to control our audio.
It’s also been suggested that the new volume button on the iPhone 15 will be a software button that seems mechanical but isn’t. This is similar to the trackpad or even the later versions of the classic home button (RIP).
As we get closer to the release of the iPhone 15 in the fall, we’ll see more rumors, some believable and some not. We’ll try and report on the ones that seem like they could be legit. And of course, we’ll make sure to report when the new iPhone gets an official announcement and release later this year.
