The 2024 Samsung Unpacked event definitely didn’t disappoint with the company unveiling a new lineup of Galaxy phones as well as other goodies.
While the new smartphones were the highlight of the annual event, the launch of Galaxy AI is probably a close second. Continue reading for all the details straight from Samsung Unpacked.
PHONES
The Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra are all significant upgrades to their predecessors.
The Galaxy S24 FHD display comes in at 6.2 inches, making it the smallest of the three phones but still slightly bigger than the S23 which was 6.1 inches. Like any phone worth its salt these days, it features three camera lenses in the back, including a 10MP telephoto sporting 3x zoom, 12MP ultra-wide and a 50MP wide. The camera system rounds out with a 12MP lens in the front.
You can choose between 128GB and 256GB, each with only 8GB memory. Color options include Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow. Prices start at $799.
The Galaxy S24 Plus QHD+ display is your bigger option at 6.7 inches. Like the regular S24, the Plus has three rear cameras. That means the 10MP telephoto sporting 3x zoom, 12MP ultra-wide and a 50MP wide. Likewise it has the 12MP lens in the front.
You have two storage options with the S24 Plus – 256GB and 512GB, both with 12GB memory. Color options include Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow, just like the S24. Prices start at $999.
The higher-end of the three, the S24 Ultra, has the largest QHD+ AMOLED 2X display at 6.8 inches. As is expected, the camera is rocking. You get a 10MP telephoto, 50MP periscope telephoto sensor, 12MP ultrawide with 5x zoom. Like the other two it has a 12MP on the front.
The S24 Ultra has three storage options – 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, each with 12GB memory with several color choices. Prices start at $1,299.
GALAXY AI
Each of the S24 Samsung phones feature a brand-new Galaxy AI which is also deployed in other devices. This is a souped-up AI that powers a ton of new features like voice call translations. That’s right, your phone will translate a real-time phone call into your language.
Galaxy AI will also help with autocorrecting and fixing texts, assisting with notes and even google searching an object in a photo simply by circling it.
