The Nothing Ear 2 will hit shelves in a little over a week, but we already have our first full look at the newest version of the popular earbuds thanks to a leak.
While some leaks may only hint at a product or show simple prototypes or even just the chassis of a rumored phone, these leaks show the full Nothing Ear 2 in all its glory. They look like the complete set of marketing images you’d find in a PR kit for the company. The images were shared with The Tech Outlook by reputable leakster @OnLeaks.
The photos reveal that the new earbuds are going to look a lot like the original Nothing Ears. In fact, they look almost exactly like them save for the microphone moving from the bottom of the stem to the top and the “Nothing ear (2)” lettering. The earbuds and case are both semi-transparent just like their predecessor though they do weigh less. This is something you probably won’t really notice because they were already pretty light to begin with.
As you would expect they’ve improved the battery. You’ll be able to listen to audio for up to 6 hours on a single charge while using the charging case will give you up to 36 hours. Both those times are a little more than the Nothing Ear 1s offered (4 hours and 34 hours respectively).
Another difference in the new Nothing 2s is their charging capability. Users will have the choice to charge the case via USB-C or a wireless Qi charger. And as expected, they will have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
While you can be sure these details are pretty accurate to what we’ll see when they’re released just keep in mind that this is still an unofficial leak. We won’t have to wait long to get our eyes and hands on the real thing as the Nothing Ear 2 hits the shelves and internet on March 22nd.
