The iPhone X, like any new device, has its share of problems but despite them this new Apple phone is an unequivocal success.
I thought getting used to a no-home-button situation was going to be difficult but within the hour of getting my new iPhone X I was swiping from the bottom like a pro and barely missed the little circular guy.
Face ID works as well as the fingerprint sensor of previous models. And when it doesn’t ID my face, I simply enter in my passcode. No big deal. To make something of it would be the ultimate in first world problems.
One of the most popular new features of course is the Animoji. While I don’t particularly use them very often or really care to, there’s no denying it’s kind of a cool feature. And with future updates I’m sure it’ll get a lot cooler.
But in case you’re one of those iPhone X users who enjoys using Animojis, here’s a tip you may or may not be aware of.
Once you’ve selected your Animoji and recorded your video there’s a possibility that you might decide you don’t like your choice. Maybe you used the fox when you should have used the panda. Or maybe you selected the unicorn when the chocolate swirl might have been more fitting. (Yeah we all know what it’s really called, just don’t make me say it.)
Well you’re not locked into your choice just because you’ve recorded with that character. And no, you don’t have to re-record with a new character either.
All you have to do is simply scroll up or down on the Animoji list on the left, select another character and preview it. If it works, send it. If it doesn’t, pick another one. Yep, it’s that simple.
While Animojis may just be a fad, I’m hoping that adding additional characters, including the iconic yellow face ball emoji’s, will make it more interesting. Right now it just seems too limited. Though it just launched so I’m willing to wait and see.
