Technology seems to be improving faster than we can blink. With all the mobile devices available to us these days, along with ever increasing ease of access to the Internet, people are more connected than ever before. This lays the perfect foundation for a business to interface with its customers. It is not easy to manage the perfect storm of social media sites while trying to run a business at the same time. Not to mention, more traditional means of customer interaction are difficult if you are stuck in an office or behind the bar. What if there was someone who could do it for you? Or even better, how about a group of people, all working together to get word out there just for your product or service? That is where Gnomad comes in.
We had a chance to see Gnomad in action at this year’s South By Southwest In our interview with CEO Rich Winley, he tells us that, “We are an on demand advertising platform, so we push advertisement in real time.”
At festival they had a chance to debut just how their platform works for a lucky bar called Voodoo. “A bar like Voodoo actually saw one of our gnomads and they wanted to push out an advertisement for a happy hour special. They wanted all of our gnomads here so we did a flash mob for them for a three dollar happy hour.”
That is just one example of the application of the Gnomad platform. Winley goes on to give us another capability of the versatile advertisement style, “Another example would be in the future, they just go on our platform just like Facebook or Google, and they will be able to upload it. They will be able to see our different gnomads walking or driving around the city and they will be able to push those ads in real time”.
