In an obvious ploy to stop competing with the high-end smartphones like Apple’s iPhone or Samsung’s Galaxy, the Microsoft Lumia 650 is fetching for a cheap $199.

The Lumia 650 is the latest (and possibly last) Lumia smartphone to run Windows 10. The guts of the 650 can’t compete with the more superior Lumia 950 and 950 XL. In fact, the 650 is missing one of the more appealing features that makes anyone want to buy a Windows 10 phone, Continuum.

Continuum is a shape-shifting (not really) software tool that helps Windows 10 detect what kind of device you’re on and then configures the OS accordingly for the best experience. This is basically what makes the Surface work both as a tablet and as a laptop.

The 650, in an effort to reduce the price, deep-sixed Continuum as well as some other more advanced features like longer-lasting battery.

While those are definitely the cons, there are pros. The 650 keeps the Micro SD slot and removable battery. This is a must for some who hate to depend on local storage only. This is true not just with those who use Windows phones. Samsung Galaxy users were in an uproar when Micro SD support was removed from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. It’s even being rumored that they’re bringing it back with the Galaxy S7.

For those who like to sport a flashy phone that just looks good, the Lumia doesn’t disappoint. It looks slick even if the guts are not totally up to snuff.

Let’s not forget the greatest pro and really the main appeal of the Lumia 650 – its price. For a cheap $199, new smartphone users can get the Windows phone experience without selling a kidney on the black market. This is perfect for parents getting their kid their first phone or for businesses who need to supply their employees with a smartphone.

There’s no word yet on when the Lumia 650 will be released in the U.S. but it is available in select countries in Europe right now.
