Consumer Update
If you own a website that contains age-restricted content, you know how difficult it can be to verify someone’s age. Often enough, websites rely on the honor system where users simply check a box that says they’re over 18 years old.
The answer is within a simple app called AGEify.
Once you begin the registration process, AGEify provides various options to users for providing their age, supporting established organizations, such as banks, that have confirmed the age of their users. The user then secures this information with the fingerprint or own PIN.
For every instance someone wants to access an age-restricted site that’s cooperative with AGEify, a QR code is shown on the website and the user can scan it using the AGEify mobile app. In addition, the user needs to use his fingerprint or PIN, to prove that he is the owner of the mobile device.
Gone are the days to provide personal information. It’s already verified at the point of setting up with any legitimate organizations that have established their age in the past.
To top it all off, you also don’t have to rely on Facebook where the age of the user is unverified.
This system not only protects minors from seeing inappropriate content but also gives control back to the site owner.
AGEify is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
