The English Premier League is one of the most entertaining leagues in the world when it comes to soccer and it is one of the leagues many players across the world aspire to play in. However, the big question that people ask themselves is who is going to win the entire league.
With the league very much up and running, teams have started to set the pace for the rest of the league. With 7 games gone there is still a long way to go but there are many teams who will be daring to dream that it is their year to lift the famous trophy. Let’s have a look at the current top 5 and see what their chances are you can then place a bet with the help of newbettingoffers.co.uk.
1. Arsenal
Arsenal are currently top of the league and playing some very impressive football alongside it. The Arsenal plan looks like it is finally taking off after many years of trusting Mikel Arteta at the helm. Arsenal are playing fast, fluid and aesthetically pleasing football that will hopefully bring success to their season.
With six wins under their belt, they do have one loss though. This was against Manchester United, their first real challenge as the fixture list has been favourable. However, there are certainly more positives than negatives to Arsenal and this could be the first time they win the league since 2003/04 season.
2. Manchester City
The current holders are the favourites to retain the league and many cannot see past them. Seven games into the season and once again they look imperious. With the addition of Erling Haaland, Pep Guardiola’s men look like nobody will stop them.
With minor blips against Newcastle United and Aston Villa, Manchester City have blown sides away with their superb footballing play.
3. Tottenham Hotspur
The London club were expected to be dark horses for the league this year with Antonio Conte having a full pre-season to drill his players into shape. This is proving to be the case with Tottenham currently in third place, even though they have not been playing magnificently.
However, a sign of title-winning sides is picking up wins wherever they can. With the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min up front, they can beat anyone on their day.
Keep an eye on Spurs throughout the season.
4. Brighton & Hove Albion
Once again Brighton have flown out of the blocks and shot up to 4th place. Despite losing three of their best players in Marc Cucurella, Yves Bissouma and Neal Maupay they have played to impressive football and beaten the likes of Manchester United and Leicester City with ease.
However, Brighton fans will be hoping this position is not false following the departure of their popular manager Graham Potter who has moved to Chelsea. Brighton could still continue to have a good year but winning the league looks unlikely.
5. Manchester United
The 20 times champions would not have thought they would be anywhere near the top following defeats to Brighton and Brentford in their first two games. The manner of those defeats were dreadful, however, new manager Erik ten Hag has been ruthless in his decisions regarding the starting eleven and has reaped the rewards with wins over Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester City and Southampton.
A long season will await United and anywhere near the top four will be a success.
