Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (repeat 3x). Heroes in a half shell, TURTLE POWER! Don’t even pretend like you didn’t just sing that instead of reading it in your normal inner voice! Today, NewsWatch is talking about TMNT: Out of The Shadows. Here’s the breakdown: it’s directed by Michael Bay and starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and Stephen Amell. Don’t forget Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Alan Ritchson in green rubber as Leo, Raf, Mikey and Donny. Now, whether you are an avid fan of the 1980’s comic books, a die-hard 1990’s cartoon series kid, or a live action (1990’s or 2010’s) Turtles enthusiast, you will definitely have an opinion about this new TMNT movie; hitting theaters June 3rd.

This movie picks up where the last live action Turtles movie left us; Shredder was not killed off and therefore is seeking vengeance against the Turtles with even more passion. He pairs up with a mad scientist (Tyler Perry) and creates vicious monsters to try to take out the 4 shelled brothers once and for all. To those of us that did indulge in “Secret of the Ooze”, this sounds pretty familiar. However, the cast and crew is promising a different take and an action filled movie that will entertain old fans and new! We caught up with Megan Fox and Stephen Amell to discuss what TMNT: Out of the Shadows has in store for us!

“I think that people are really going to like it. All the buzz has been very positive, I know it’s still early days but I’m bullish, I think it’s going to be great!” -Stephen Amell

“Lots of action! It’s a big movie, it’s a big spectacle, a lot bigger than the first one and tons of new characters! It almost seems like overload except that I’ve seen the movie and it works really well!” – Megan Fox

Well, I guess we will have to decide that for ourselves! Is this another awkward sequel or a COWABUNGA worthy homage to the world’s most fearsome fighting team?
