Students who receive, one on one mentorship do two standard deviations better than those who just learn in large conventional lectures.
It makes sense as parents can’t afford to get private tutoring for every subject for every grade level for their kid, they’re going to get hard grade levels. With two standard deviations means you can go from being a “C” student to being, an “A” student.
We can’t have one human teacher for every subject for every student but can create a triple adaptive program that doesn’t compete with a teacher but serves them, provides them with all the materials and serves the students with all the materials to create that experience of a one on one tutor for every kid, and that’s what ChalkTalk did.
What’s great about it, is that not only do the teachers teach the students, but the program does itself.
It’s all really kind of a one-stop shop, where teachers are really able to leverage the technology that’s there, and really teach students important math skills and ELA skills that they wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.
A lot of students like the teachers help because ChalkTalk has that feature that is teacher-centered.
