With Star Wars: The Force Awakens hitting theaters today, everyone and their mother (and father and sister and brother) are hopped up on the Force. And with the amazing reviews rolling in on the movie (94% on Rotten Tomatoes), I don’t see that hype dying down any time soon.

starsThe release of the 7th installment of the popular Sci-Fi franchise coincides with the holiday season making Star Wars gifts a must for any true fan. I’ve narrowed down a few must-give gifts that you’ll want to add to your shopping cart right away before the 25th rolls around.

1. BB-8 Desktop Lamp

While R2-D2 is the O.G. or should I say O.D. (Original Droid) of the Star Wars universe, BB-8 is already wildly popular, even before anyone has even seen a frame of the new film.

The BB-8 Desktop Lamp is a great way to go to bed every night with Star Wars on the brain.

You can pick one up for $49.99 at thinkgeek.com.

If you’re looking for something a bit more expensive you can get an actual BB-8 App-Enabled Droid for $149.99.

2. Star Wars Lightsaber Utensils

If you’re looking to go on the cheaper side when searching for the perfect Star Wars gift, check out this awesome lightsaber utensil set. Now don’t get it twisted they’re not actual lightsabers. These utensils sport cool saber handles. The fork is Luke’s saber, the spoon Yoda’s and the knife is Vader’s.

You can pick up this set for $19.99 again at thinkgeek.com.

3. Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-Ray

Obviously no true fan of Star Wars can live without the entire series on Blu-ray. This 9-disc set comes stacked with special features and of course the classic movies themselves.

You can buy the Complete Saga new for $96.80 or used for $83.77 on amazon.com.

But of course if the fan you’re buying for is a Star Wars purist you may have to buy them the original films unaltered. George Lucas is notorious for constantly revisiting his original films and updating and changing them using CGI.

These may be hard to find but if you dig deep in the land of eBay you’ll probably find the unaltered films. But be warned they may be a bit expensive.

4. Luke Skywalker Lightsaber Replica

The Luke Skywalker lightsaber replica is something to behold. It looks and feels like what you would imagine a real lightsaber might.

Now purchasing this as a gift will cost some real coin so be ready to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on eBay.

5. Chewbacca Messenger Bag

This messenger bag shows off your inner nerd without sacrificing style. The brown faux-leather is embossed with the Star Wars logo while the bandolier shoulder strap is adjustable. The bag is perfect for carrying notebooks, tablets or an 11” inch MacBook Air.

Pick one up for $89.99 on thinkgeek.com.

That should get you on the road to finding the perfect gift for the Star Wars inclined. You can explore the various sites listed above like thinkgeek.com to see all of the other Star Wars items available in the galaxy.
