MusicRogue – Your Music On Hold | NewsWatch Review

Did you know the average person will spend 1.2 percent of their lifetime sitting on hold?  That sounds awful.  Especially because the music that you have to listen to while on hold is never something you’re interested in.  Well, to make the on-hold process a little more interesting – check out Music Rogue.

This app will automatically play music that’s on your phone or Spotify when you are put on hold – so you can enjoy your favorite Jay-Z song instead of your least-favorite elevator composition while you try and dispute a phone bill.  All you have to do is download the app, verify your phone, sync the music on your phone with the app, and then make any calls within the app instead of the default dialer.  From there, anytime you get placed on hold, your music will take over.  And when a live person comes on to help you, the music will automatically pause and you’ll be able to start chatting.  You can also manually pause your music and go back to the call to listen in.  For anyone that’s ever been on hold for a while, you know this is amazing.

Just don’t get too caught up in your dance moves and singing along since you are just on hold. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to have the customer service representative pick back up with you belting out “Thriller” (you know it’s in your guilty pleasures playlist).

Now, Music Rogue is available for free on iOS devices.  To download it or learn more, head to musicrogue.com or search for it in your appstore today.
