As the NAB Show 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to look back at this year’s event and take note of the best and brightest in innovative technology.

Over 60,000 attendees descended upon the Las Vegas Convention Center and were wowed by what they saw. From high-end cameras and accessories to new microphones and lighting equipment, this year saw a plethora of goodies that’ll be hitting the market this year.

Here’s what caught our eye as the best of the NAB Show 2024.

BLACKMAGIC PXYIS 6K

We reported on the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K camera as soon as it was unveiled. The new Blackmagic product is exactly what consumers were looking for in the cinema camera space. The box design, making it perfect for building a custom rig, was a much-requested feature.

It’s got dual native ISO, 13-stop dynamic range and, of course, a 6K sensor. Add in an on-board monitor and you’ve got a beast of a camera.

ATOMOS NINJA PHONE

If you’re looking for additional monitor or display support on your professional film shoot, you can just turn your iPhone 15 into a high-res pro monitor with the Atomos Ninja Phone. This is a perfect solution (and much more affordable) for external monitoring and recording with a mirrorless camera.

The Ninja Phone isn’t only about real-time monitoring but also recording and capturing high-res video. Think of it as a great way to harness the power of the iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max and turn it into an invaluable asset on your next shoot.

RODE MAGNETIC MOUNT

Speaking of harnessing the power of your iPhone, the newly unveiled Rode Magnetic Mount does exactly that but for audio and lighting. While some mounts might clamp onto your phone, this bad boy utilizes the MagSafe feature.

Simply attach your Rode Mic or other accessory to the mount and then magnetize it to the back of your phone. With multiple short and long shoe arms available, you can create your own little rig and feel confident in its stability.

The NAB Show 2024 has come to a close, but there are plenty of fantastic tech products on the horizon. We’ll be sure to keep you informed.
